Kate Gryzmala, her husband Derek, and their team are the perfect interior design and construction company. We hired them to update our kitchen and completely gut and redo our primary bathroom. Other designers told us we needed to get all new cabinets in our kitchen, but Kate walked in, looked around, and immediately stated we didn’t need new cabinets and insured us that our kitchen would look totally updated while keeping our cabinets. She was right! Not only does it look amazing and updated but we were also able to save a lot of money. I don’t think there is anything that Derek can’t do. He is very talented and a true perfectionist. If you can imagine it, he can build it. Derek and his entire team are hardworking, professional, and trustworthy. They were respectful of our house, neat, worked every day from 8-5, and were courteous to our whole family. I had never worked with an interior designer, so I didn’t know what to expect. It was a pleasure working with Kate! Kate made the experience fun and walked us through the whole process. She is incredibly gifted, easy to work with, detail-oriented, cost-conscious, and always accessible. Kate is passionate about design, and it shows in her positive attitude, energy level, and enthusiasm. She took the time to listen to our likes, wants, and needs and then helped us choose everything (paint colors, backsplash, tiles, vanities, tub, lighting, mirrors, etc.) by joining us at stores and picking 5-10 options for each item and sending us the links to each item. Having her do research and narrow down the choices for us was so helpful and made the process less overwhelming. She also shared her designer discounts and got us price adjustments when possible. Last month I did something I’ve been dreaming of since I bought my Village Shires townhouse 4+ years ago…I got a master bathroom put in my bedroom and updated the hall bathroom for the boys(which we all shared until now). We worked with Kate to design our bathroom for the hallway. We left the design and colors to our children. We were nervous thinking it wouldn't work. Kate said with excitement "Do not worry, I can make this work" Did she ever! Kate's attention to detail, the her education of dimension and unique use of color transformed this bathroom into one of the nicest we have ever seen. Kate, Derek and their team did a wonderful job on upgrading my entire house including bathrooms, powder room, kitchen, loft, feature walls as well as finishing the basement.
